What is Elite Team Training All About?
Elite Team Training offers four types of specialty fitness classes. These classes held by our Certified Trainers are meant to challenge you, significantly boost your metabolism, and help you change up your routine from your normal workouts. These sessions are likely things that you would never do on your own. You will get specialized attention, use fun equipment, and exercise to a plan that a trainer put together. You will find yourself sweating, burning a ton of calories in a short amount of time, getting the most out of your workouts, and have a great time while doing it.
We currently offer HIT (high-intensity training), 60 classes. These are 60-minute group training sessions consisting of strength training, functional training, core strength, and cardio drills. Every class is varied and never the same! Your trainers creatively incorporate kettlebells, ropes, cycle bikes, free weights, medicine balls, resistance bands, TRX, body weight, and other fun exercises. Come try some new exercises and likely find some muscles you never knew you had before!
We additionally offer two classes that use our Power Wave Bag: Wave 20, and Beast Reps. This is one of the latest and greatest fitness trends and we have it right here at Elite!
The Power Wave Bag is similar to a Sandbag, but is sturdier and has varied handles and grips. They come in 15, 25, and 45 pounds. They also are made with a special thermo gel pad. What makes that so special? Well according to Power Wave it is a “temperature gel neck padding shielded through perforated leather, which increases the catabolic rate of energy release, resulting in a greater calorie burn.” Nice – right?! Who doesn’t want to burn more calories?!
The Wave 20 is a short and intense 20-minute workout that consists of four rounds of five exercises. It is a TOTAL body workout. Each exercise is done for 50 seconds with a 10-second rest before moving onto the next exercise.
For example, you may be performing:
- Deadlift into an Upright Row
- Squat with a Kick
- Push-Ups
- Biceps Curl into an Overhead Press
- Russian Twist
You are concentrating on doing as many reps as you can in the 50 seconds using good form. Your heart rate will stay elevated. There is minimal recovery and you’re going to be burning an enormous amount of calories while building strength and endurance in a short period of time.
Beast Reps is another 20 minutes short and intense workout where you perform four exercises, but each exercise is done for five minutes before moving on to the next muscle group. The five minutes is broken up into 10 rounds of 20 seconds of work followed by 10 seconds of rest.
So if using the same exercises above, you would do 10 rounds of the Deadlift into an Upright Row before moving onto the Squats with a Kick. Burn!
Your goal is to work on strength and form while aiming to get in 12 reps in each 20-second cycle if possible.
FYI- Outdoor Boot Camp classes have finished for the season, but stay tuned for more details as they will resume in the spring.
